When I was expecting baby #1, my cousin was nice enough to send me an email with all of her tried and true baby things, and it was a total life saver. I decided to return the favor by sending out an email to all of my expecting mommy friends. Baby stuff is totally overwhelming, especially for first time moms. Here are some of my favs.

Quick Zip crib sheets. This is one of my baby life savers. Changing crib sheets sucks! Especially if you have a sick kid and have to do it 100 x’s a night.  These are made by  “Quick-Zip”. There are NO other brands. They are great quality, literally washed 1,000 times and don’t look worn at all. I am totally obsessed with Quick Zip.

This is the car seat, stroller set we have. I’m pretty sure the set comes with the infant carrier, stroller , and one base. We bought it from  Amazon and registered for an extra base at Babies R US. Our car seat and stroller have been through the airport like 20 times and are still in perfect shape. I love the Britax brand so much because it’s light enough for me to load without pulling my back out, but feels safe and substantial.

Video monitor! This is one of my splurges. We have the Motorola video monitor with 2 cameras. It’s Amazing, but the sound went out after a year. In all fairness, we are pretty hard on it and Motorola  replaced our entire system even though it was out of warranty. I literally have no idea what people did before these video monitors. Also, these are amazing to prank your house guests with because they have the two-way sound option. That’s a totally different post !

 I use Dr. Browns bottles, they are a pain in the ass to clean, but totally eliminate air bubbles, so that helps with gas. I don’t like the guessing game of “why does my baby have a belly ache”, with Dr. Browns I’m usually confident it’s not air bubbles in my bottle.

Pampers Swaddlers are my favorite diapers, they are not the cheapest, but I think they are totally worth it.

 Get a white noise machine! You will not regret it.  I love this guy, he’s cheap and awesome.

Buy the “Dreft” laundry soap at Sam’s or BJ’s , you need that shit in bulk.

 

There is this stuff called “Gripe Water”, it’s all natural and is a great alternative to gas drops (which can be harsh sometimes). I used the Mommy’s Bliss brand, it’s great for belly aches, gas, colic, or when you just don’t know what the hell is wrong with them lol.
